This product is a more enriched version of the normal Kienyeji Mash that is specially formulated to meet the extra nutrients required by improved breeds of indigenous chicken (Improved Kienyeji) such as Kenbrow, Kuroiler, Rainbow rooster amongst others.
Improved Kienyeji are bred for dual purposes:
- Meat
- Laying eggs
Feeding improved Kienyeji for Meat
Phase 1
Duration: 0-8 weeks
Recommended: Wonder Feeds Chick and Duck Mash for this period
Consumption: We recommend feeding of 2.5kg per Chick for the 8 week period
Phase 2
Duration: 9 weeks to Market Weight (14-15 weeks old)
Recommended: Use Wonder Feeds Growers Mash for this period. The chicken is expected to have gained weight to around 2.5-3 kg live weight which is the market weight.
Consumption: Feeding is ad libitum (To satisfaction of chicken)
Raising improved Kienyeji for Egg Production
Kienyeji Mfalme for Egg production consists of 3 Phases:
Phase 1
Duration: 0-8 weeks
Recommended: Wonder Feeds Chick and Duck Mash for this period
Consumption: We recommend feeding of 2.5kg per Chick
Phase 2
Duration: 9 weeks up to onset of laying eggs
Recommended: Use Wonder Feeds Growers Mash for this period
Consumption: Growers mash is fed ad libitum until onset of laying
Phase 3
Duration: When Hen starts laying Eggs
Recommended: Transit to Wonder Feeds Kienyeji Mfalme when laying is 3%
Consumption: Feed 0.14kg per chicken per day. Use the same feed for breeding cocks and hen.
